What do document types mean in ecratum? – ecratum GmbH

The product document requests between you and your supplier are reflected through document types. By requesting product documentation to your supplier, you are asking them to provide you with a specific document for a particular product. In ecratum you are offered more than three hundred document types to choose while requesting product documentation to your suppliers, depending on your industry such as allergen declaration, food approval, raw material specification and many more.

The document types in ecratum have some fixed attributes called "expiration" and "revalidation" which address the behaviour of your request after it has been fulfilled. Since those attributes of document types cannot be changed at a later time, you need to decide carefully which document type you pick for your requests.

Once you select the document types you need to work with and define products and/or product groups, you can easily start sending product document tasks to your supplier which represents your product document requests in ecratum.
