How can I use the Address Book?

Introduction

The Address book is a new feature in the ecratum application. The Address book is populated by contact information from connected companies and your company. This feature was created to facilitate and achieve better communication between the users involved inside ecratum and it also provides a navigation tool to the Messenger platform where you can send direct messages to your contacts.

You can filter through your contacts.

Where can I find the Address Book?

The address book can be found on the sidebar menu under the Business Partners category.

Where can I find the filter?

The filter allows you to search through the populated contact list in the grid view. The filter option can be located on the top right side of the grid view.

What can I filter?

The Address book feature gives you an easier and efficient way to filter through your contact list.  You can filter by companies.

How can I send a message to my contacts?

By clicking on the Direct Message button, you will be navigated to the Messenger platform to send instant messages to your contacts.

How can I request contact data? 

The Address Book lists the users from your business partner companies that your company exchanged a task. Meaning that when a user from your company interacts with a user from a business partner company via a task, that user from that company will be shown in the Address Book of your company for all users.

To request contact data from a user in the Address Book, take the following steps:

• Go to the Address Book and click on the company that includes the user of whom you need contact data.
• Click on the Request Contact Data button and the contact request will be sent to the respective user.

Once the respective user receives the request to share contact data with you as a notification in ecratum App, he/she can accept it by clicking on the Send Contact Information button. After that button is pressed, you will be sent the contact data of that specific user.

To notify you about the contact data is shared with you, you are sent a notification. 

After clicking on the notification, you land in the view that takes you to the entry about the contact data in the Address Book by clicking on the Check Info On Address Book button.

You can now view the contact data you are given in the Address Book.

In addition to viewing contact data of a user via the Address Book, you can also view it on a task with which your company and that particular user interacted. To view contact data on a task, click on the user's name on the detailed view of a task that the specific user and your company exchanged.

If the contact data for the user is not provided yet, the view would look like this when you click on the user's name on the detailed task view.
